How can color affect your bedroom environment?

CAN YOUR WALLS DECIDE YOUR SLEEP?

We often miss out on the small factors which are actually minutely significant in determining how healthy our lifestyle can be. Whenever we plan to rearrange or organize our daily routine to improve our health or resting pattern we often are surrounded by the elements of a proper diet and a proper routine, but have we ever paid attention to a minimal thing like the color of your bedroom wall?

Although it’s a very minute thing but bedroom colors can actually affect how mentally calm you are and in turn can affect the quality of sleep and even the number of hours for which you are asleep. Color can be one of the deciding factors which determine our health. It not only stands for concept and the décor but also for the mental state you are in when you go to sleep. It is believed by color psychologists that the color blue is the most preferable when it comes to a sound sleep. The color blue relaxes your mind and gives you a feeling of peace and relaxation. There are other colors which can be added to the list of sound sleeps and relaxed nights, yellow and green are such colors. Both of these are always preferred in their lighter shades, a brighter shade would affect the eye soothing nature of the bedroom. Lighter orange, pink and matte silver are three other such colors which can be actually useful to make you feel warm and calm at the same time. But a little brighter shade or a darker shade can completely reverse the feeling into an uneasy and uncomfortable sleep pattern.

Just like the light colors of comfort and relaxation, there is a section when it comes to choosing your bedroom colors which should be strictly avoided. Dark purple can be considered for its hyper energetic vibes but when it comes to a good night’s sleep it should be avoided. Dark grey and brown are also not good choices as they can arouse a feeling of gloom and restlessness in you. Lastly red should be strictly avoided as it can arouse the feeling of alert and can actually affect your heart rate. Just like the wall there are other color deciding factors which should be paid importance to while planning the bedroom décor. The lights and the wall design are really important when it comes to that. From the little plants and table accessories on you study table to the sheets and the pillowcases all are an integral part of your bedroom and all need to be taken care of.
